Victory specifies 20W-40. Amsoil only makes motorcycle oil kin 10W-30, 10W40, 20W-50 or SAE 60 viscosities. Of these choices, 10W-40 would be the applicable product--he typo'ed the "10-50". I was just curious on what ADG had experienced with so many people (here, on other Victory forums, and also on the Star forum I used to belong to) choosing to run 20W-50.

living in Hawaii the temperature rarely gets under 60, so do I still want the 10W-40W? Don't know if it's cost effective due to high shipping costs.

You would either want the Victory 20W-40 or equivalent. In Amsoil you would use their 10W-40.

I see there is an Amsoil dealer in Keaau. I don't know how Amsoil handles shipping to Hawaii, or if the ADG can help out with shipping.

When you first start your motor is when the wear damage begins.
The thicker the oil the harder for the pistons to travel threw it.

Here is a web site the guy talks about cars but the principle is the same. He covers every thing and worth the reading

Depends on how much you want and where you are in Hawaii.

Slow boat once a month or, USPS Priority I think will handle 4 qts and a filter for about what stateside shipping is but, you need 5 in a Vic

If you want a larger amount, and you live in Honolulu, slow boat is less expensive than if you live stateside.

Well I also read that as they do not recommend a full synthetic oil.

ADG- Do you have a response?
