Finally got out and took my bike on her first long ride (200 miles).. not too long.

I just got the Ness Flip screen and put it on this morning... Looking at returning due to the buffering that occurs around 50mph. I adjusted the lower fork deflectors and it help a little but not enough. So now looking at getting a different shield.

One issue I had was the left side saddle bag flew open on the highway around 70mph when I hit a bump. The saddle bag was closed and locked but somehow it still managed to open which left me concerned that it would happen again. Not sure if this has happen to others.

All in all the bike ran great!

Thanks!

Glad see some "northerners" starting to get rolling :) I heard a ton of bikes while I was working on mine today.
As for your bag....I hate to say it but we have to be very careful with the latches on the bags. I've had two times now that the lids have flown open when I thought they were locked. Made it a habit to leg bump the lid very time I close them to set the latch.

Finally there is no snow or salt on the ground. hope you get out soon!

For the bags, that something I'm going to be checking more often. I was pretty sure that I closed that left side. I'll keep checking it from now on.

Looks like it was going to take some time to get the bike out. :smile

When you're closing your saddelbags push on the bezel until you hear and feel a click. I suspect that others that have had the same issue were either not waiting for a click or were depressing the button while closing the lid.

Before the flaming starts my lid came open twice - once when my wife pushed on the button while closing and once while I didn't listen for a click.
I sure I checked, that left side doesn't close as easy as the right.
