How Do You Remove Top of Rider Footbeds

Can anyone help me with how to remove the top of a 2012 XCT footbed from the bottom half? There don't appear to be any bolts holding the two parts together and pulling upward with medium force on the top half did not separate them although it is clear the top half somehow "floats" over the bottom half.

My specific question pertains to the Arlen Ness chrome footbed tops which have the multitude of small rubber "button". I need to replace one of these buttons and it appears I need to access the bottom of the top footbed part in order to pull the button into place.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

G'day,

if its floorboards you're asking about there are rubber plugs. Look on ebay for them.

Foot pegs are a hole new store. You have photo of what your asking

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I used "footbeds" which I thought was the proper word. I am talking about the floorboards NOT footpegs. I already have the rubber "plugs" or "buttons". I just want to access the bottom side of the top half of the mating floorboards so I can properly install the "plugs" or "buttons".

You should be able to feel rubber or silcone grommets on the floorboard bottoms. These are attached to the bottom of your Ness boards. Push up on the grommets while pulling up on the Ness boards. There are a few so you'll have to repeat until the boards are loose.

To reinstall put the boards in place and look through the bottoms to make sure the grommets are lined up. Press on the boards and either work a small screwdriver around the grommets until they are all the way through or use a small pair of pliers to carefully pull them through.
ammo_umb, thanks much. That is exactly the info I was looking for. It will be middle of next week before I can try it but you've given me the right path to pursue. Thanks.
