I was on the highway today running about 75 and came up about 4-5 car lengths behind an 18 wheeler and the wobble was insane. About the only cosmetic thing I have done is add a cee Bailey tall windshield without the cut out.
Yes , I have noticed this recently ... I thought I was gonna be tank slappin on the way to work last week , doing 80 and the front felt super wobbly , like at any moment I could be doing a handlebar dance ... It was unnerving to say the least .
In 35,000 miles....the only "wobble" I've ever felt is when my set of Michelin Commander II's wore out and I was in a high speed turn...That said the XC has always been rock stable, even in the buffeting zones of trucks. I run a Gusffson 12" EuroFlip windshield with a cutout.
I felt those turbulence when I first got the vision when being behind a semi. It was super scary for sure. It was worse when I lowered the rear of the bikes. Like most of you know. So I lowered the front by a inch and a quarter. Problem solved.
To bad they don't make a lowering kit for the front of a CC. To bad Progressive Suspension doesn't make a kit
This is how Drew Miller went down too ..... @dtmmil
