Magnum Engine Guards - Ideas??

The Magnum does not come with engine guards, while I like the look, for these wobbly old legs I feel I must put a set on. Not to mention they are a great place to mount a set of Clearwater Driving Lights. My dilemma is: which ones and in what finish? I am contemplating a set of the round bars, the question is, should I have them powder coated in Gloss Black, Satin Black Havasu red, or stay chrome? Then a friend told me how nice a set of the forged bars would be with the panels cone in Havasu Red and the Chrome section powder coated black.

I sure would like some suggestions! Thanks.

I have a Cross Country Tour but I removed the lowers to install the Forged bars; I just like the look of them so much better.

I think gloss black or chrome would look RAD on that Magnum.

The color of those lights would clash with my bike. Look great on yours though!

O

Round, black, no chrome. I have mine gloss black right now. Maybe a satin black might look good. Chrome detracts from the bike, your eyes are drawn to the bright chrome to me. Remember get what you like, not what your buddy thinks is cool.

A set of either round or forged bars on your Magnum would add protection, looks and functionality. With the Magnum's paint scheme, I'd suggest keeping color to a minimum with whatever bar you choose, sometimes "more is too much" ;) . Round bars in gloss black PC or chrome forged bars with a havasu red top would do the trick.
