anyone know the proper way to adjust the throttle cables? Just installed the 1/4 turn from Lloydz and it doesnt seem as fluid as before. How do you check the slack for each cable?
Turn the throttle all the way. Does it snap back? If not, it's too tight. Check to be sure there is nothing binding in the housing where you installed the ring, then check your cable tension. When I installed mine, I had my cables to right and had to loosen them at the throttle body.
broggy right , nothing should be binding in the housing but your cables are way too tight . gently rock the throttle and watch the pull cable there should be visible slack there ... You want the return cable just tight enough there is no slack then loosen the adjuster one turn in the loose , not tight , (One turn more slack wise) your done. Tip: screw the micro adjusters at the bars all the way in , then back them out 2 turns before your initial adjustments , then fine tune from the bars .... Hope this helps .
There are 2 horizontal screws holding the switch housing for the cruise together , make sure you remove those also ... You need to get the bracket out of the way ....
I have heard that many have put the loydz timing wheel in their bike. Can you tell me what it does for the bike and is it worth putting in the bike. Appreciate everyone help.
