It is thin pickings to find a pix of the tail of the F6B (catchy name by the way). There's a good reason for that. Not Takanobu Ito's design teams best effort for sure.
Remember the Pacific Coast? That's what the tail reminds me of.
If they had had this available, I may have gone a different direction. Of course, Honda was years too late for my purchase.
Honda is always late to the game. They brought out that Furbee chopper years after the chopper craze was dead and buried. Now they have like 6 or 7 versions of their 1300cc cruiser... I guess they think the mid-size cruiser is the wave of the future.
My friend and I have been saying for years that Honda needed to release the "Goldwing 8-Ball". Can all the electronic gadets, can the tour pack, and get some bags on it that OPEN FROM THE TOP. Keep the push-button rear suspension adjustment, headlight adjustment, heated grips and seat... lose all those buttons on the dash, the airbag, the navi, the stereo... then again, the Vision 8-Ball didn't sell well and is now discontinued, so maybe we were wrong.
I considered the Goldwing and after riding it I was duly impressed. The bike would be swell... but after a while the swelling would go down and I'd have to deal with a full-blown-touring-bike every day. I really don't NEED a full-blown-tourer for what I do on a motorcycle and prefer to pack light and ride hard.
This new version of the wing in intriguing, but I HATE bags that open to the side... it's just a stupid way to do bags. Look how much bigger and more convenient the bags on the Cross bikes are than the ones on the Vision.
