The beauty of a 45-deg single-pin crank.. This on an old carb bike is how "potato potato" was achieved.

On pom pom pom comment earlier.. Victory is also a single pin crank, so I suspect (when I pick mine up Saturday, Lord willing and the creek don't rise) that it will have a pattern closer to a harley/yamaha engine, rather than a true pom pom pom pom like a honda/suzuki v-twin (which though I'm sure they're great engines, I just can't listen to them). The latter being dual-pin cranks for a more even offset firing pattern, such as an inline engine. Smoother? Probably.. Pleasing to hear? Not for me. Anxious to experience the 106 Vic motor by comparison. Last one ridden was in '03.

Yes, I'm stoked... So yes, I'm trollin' the vic forum today.
old movie reference: I'm gettin' a high-ball Saturday moooorning.. Ding dong the bells are gonna chime. Get me to the dealer on time!!!!

Depending on the model you're getting, expect a more or less Singer sewing machine "tac, tac, tac" or else you'll be grossly disappointed.

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

the heratage i owned had an 88" evo built by tom caldwell, originally 80" with 10 to 1 compression, crane cam& hi 4 ignition and s&s e carb, with porker pipes. if you don't know of him google tom caldwell ihra. it sounded like a small block chevy race engine. still wish i hadn't sold it.

Looks good GJ. You won't be needing the heat shields either. I would be interested in seeing a before and after dyno on these pipes if anyone can get them. The common perception is the stock head pipes do an excellent job of creating the best power but sometimes power isn't the most important issue for folks. Sometime sound and lower heat trumps it.

I would recommend getting some black cam tensioner bolt covers for it though. The rear one really stands out now.

You should start a new thread and post all the info, link to the pipes, charts, etc. I'm sure everyone would like to see and hear it as well.
