I been meaning to post about this, so I did a search of course before posting a new thread
Any way he has travelled around 23,000 (per his site)miles....WOW!!
He's in Africa now...
Yeah....I'm pretty sure it is. The time stops when he stops for the day....the miles are what he has travelled on the bike....air miles don't count towards total mileage.
He took the long way across Australia, can't really blame him for wanting to see more than just straight across though.
I was unaware he was even here!
So far this seems to be a major miss for Victory Motorcycles. Why they wouldn't do a multi episode documentary is beyond me. Something along the lines of the Long Way Round and the Long Way Down series would be awesome.
I'll tell you what guys...he absolutely destroyed Africa!! 7,509 miles in 13 days and 23 hours! 2 freakin' weeks!! 536 miles/day.
And, as was mentioned above...Victory, imo, s/b covering (maybe I'm not seeing it) this a hell of a lot better than they are!!
Myself and one of my brothers were in the kuryakyn tent yesterday and I look at this guy...it was grizzly! He was very nice, we had a short conversation and I asked if I could take a picture with him....
Did he make it back before Polaris closed the doors and changed the locks on the guy? Sad tale that he leaves being sponsored by vic, and comes back to a company that doesn't really exist anymore.
