I wonder if Lloydz will test them out in my bike for the heat factor :ltr:

Strange,
That Victory would go off on a tangent with S&S,
Specially considering the connection to Lloydz HOH.
More $$$$ in Polaris pocket I guess.
"dealer installation required"
That'll bump the price right up,
it'll be interesting to hear the full story on this.
Not on Facebook so screen resolution ain't the best on that ad but I'm sure I'll see a better picture down the line.

Well, to add to the discussion, Lloyd's is a boutique shop, really, and is mostly known by the crazy few (like us on boards), not the general motorcyclist/Victory rider. S&S is a large, well-established company, and even casual riders will probably have heard the name.

The surprise for me is that it's taken Victory so long to offer something like this. H-D has a factory 117" kit now so I'd guess there's a lot more 'factory' 106" hop up kits on the way.

I have no idea what the behind the scenes story is but at some point, the Lloyds/S&S exclusive is/was due to be renegotiated.

yeah and local HD dealer contacted me yesterday re a 24 hour test ride on Street Glide Special or Road Glide Special, SGS is the less ugly of the two. and Ill go into the draw for a trip to USA to ride Route66.
MAD if I don't take the SGS for a short trip.

I had no idea! But then, I didn't bother to research them in the first place :)

I don't suppose any of you remember when you could go to a dealer and get an S&S 106 Stroker kit installed in your 100" Victory motorcycle?

You would not get the results you will get from the same package at Lloydz. Just like HD's Screamin' Eagle stuff... the aftermarket will beat it every time.

The dealers have a hard time with correcting belt chirp... do you REALLY want them splitting your cases?

Ah come on. The Dealer tech's are the Highly skilled / Factory trained / most helpful people on the Planet! Okay - so not to ruffles some people's feathers - Yes, there are some very good people at Dealers!!! However, it appears that the bad ones highly out number the good ones! Most Dealers don't pay squat so they get what they pay for! However, they charge these people out at the same rate as a Properly trained Tech who is worth his weight in Gold!

This is coming true with trades in general. How many people graduating from high school this year aspire to be a plumber, electrician, steamfitter, carpenter, or mechanic? Most people coming into trades now are doing it because they are not 'college material' and can't get a better career going. They get into a trade out of necessity, not out of desire.

I seriously doubt they will change from the tried and true S&S generic motor in Top Bike.
At the moment they're on an equal footing on a level playing field and Polaris ain't gonna spend millions to try and rock the boat.
Most of Drag racings audience go to see Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars, although Pro Comp is getting big.
Fact is Joe Average goes to get a hotdog or take a leak when the bikes come on.
99.99% of the crowd don't care what motor is propelling the "Victory" down the strip, most are in total ignorance to the fact that the Harley's not a Harley and the Victory's not a Victory.
It's all hype and illusion.

Same with all professional racing from NASCAR to Top Fuel. Car might say Ford or Chevy but there's not a Ford or Chevrolet part on them.

The ad is plain to see.
It's a Victory ad and they're calling it Stage 2.
Looks like they must be fitted by the dealers .
I got it on big enough on my home computer to read the fine print,
Most of it anyway, the real small stuff pixelated.

I bought The Victory Story a while back on Amazon for I think $20.00 in like new condition. It's a paperback and loaded with pictures and information on the Victory motorcycle line from concept to the first bike. It's a very nice read.

Thanks for the heads up on the book availability Mark.
I just logged into Amazon and purchased a copy:smile
With the lousy Aussie dollar plus ripoff postal charges I'm a bit more out of pocket than twenty bucks, but not a hell of a lot more.
An investment anyway.
