Can anyone here that purchased their bike new in SEPTEMBER of 2014 tell me if they received the promotional 5 year powertain warrany and has the document to prove it ? Im almost positive that at the time of my bike purchase this was a running promotion and its what put me over the top to go with the XC and trade my Hammer in.

Its a shot in the dark but I been searching for prior year promo's and all I can find is current ones . The girl at the dealer said my only hope is it was an oversight or glitch and thats why I didnt receive it . I bought my bike 09 /5/ 2014 I just need proof the promo was running that month . Thanks Guys .

Well buddy the factory warranty is 2 years so you're still in that window...but you better get your ass in with the bike before 9/5/2016

Here's a .pdf I found on the 5 year extended warranty offer but its not dated:
http://www.victorybenelux.com/fileadmin/templates/vic_MY15/pdf/warranty/5yw-uk.pdf

Here is a link to an article stating Victory's promotional offers on MY 2014 Baggers dated 9/3/2014 and it does state there was 5 year power train warranty:
Victory Motorcycles offers up to a $2000 Rebate | Baggers

Good luck and get your butt in gear ;)

Manual states 1 year standard warranty , might have been 2 at one time but in 2014 its 1 year .

All I can hope for is someone else here that bought their bike in September of 2014 got the 5 year warranty and has a paper to show proof so I can go to my dealer and prove it .

found another link different dealer. This one explains the red tag sales event. Mabey a Lawyer can get them to release details on the year of your purchase promo details?

I seem to remember a promotional 5-year warranty thing at the end of the season to boost sales.

I bought my bike April 2014 and i was also told about a 5 yr warranty. Well yesterday i did the VIN search and it states purchase date 4-19-14 end date 4-19-16 warranty 4-19-15 ??? I have all my paperwork at home and i will be checking into it as soon as i'm outta work.

When you do your checking keep in mind that the warranty greater than one year was actually from the arms-length company Polaristar Protection. Check there for any added coverage. The mother company was just feeding itself but support extensions were separated probably due to the requirement for deductibles and the limited nature of the coverage. Because there were differences on available coverage depending upon the model year on the showroom floor, dealers were required to submit the proper paperwork. As an example, when I purchased my bike in 2013 there was a promotion of 5 year warranties to clear out 2012 bikes still on the showroom floor. Because my bike was actually two years old it did not qualify for that but still got a basic one year extension from Polaristar Protection.

The 5 year advertising could imply the added reliability of the product with a longer warranty but never explain at the same time it was really a purchased insurance plan. Slimy but not illegal. You can buy the extended warranties from just about any auto manufacturer. It's all smoke and mirrors.

I went and found my paperwork and this is the warranty I have. It's a 60 month with a $50.00 deductible. It basically says it covers internal lubricated parts. Mine goes until October 2018

Just spoke to Brandi @ Mom's , she is fighting with Victory yesterday for hours and resuming today . She said I SHOULD be covered for 5 years and it looks like my paperwork fell through the cracks . This is hopeful news .... I sent her the video of the noise and she will get back to me later today .

She said my warranty expired last year but as PaiN mentioned she said every Vic she has seen has been covered for at least two years . I did say if my warranty was an oversight and I should have received it , what now . She said we will address that issue if it comes to it .... To me , this sounds promising ...

I purchased my 2014 year model XCT on July 15, 2014. I purchased the additional two year warranty plan. My document printed by the dealer says the contract expires 7-15-2018. Mathematically, without looking at the owners manual, the date range indicates the original factory warranty was 2 years (would expire 7-2016).

I have the document with Polaris header and HQ address and phone number on the form saying I'm good till 7-2018.

Seems like you should have a few pages of "protection plan" information and defined coverage included with your sales transaction paperwork.

Polaris Sales Contract Administrator
Ph#: 1 - 877 - 472 - 1372

Get some documentation on current phone calls and emails to lock down the date when you first communicated the matter to the dealer.

sheets , I never received any documentation . Brandi @ Mom's says from what she sees I should be covered for 5 years powertrain . She cant even understand what happened ....:crzy:

Seems at least for the moment Moms is goin to bat for you. That is good. I would hate to start losing faith in what I thought was a good dealership in our area. Hope things work out for you.

Copied from tranny thread

My bike is covered by warranty until September 5 2020 ! They gave me the 1st year per gratis and extended it from there. Brandi got it done ! It was a paper work issue from the purchase date , they are picking the bike up tomorrow between 10 am and noon . She also said they are aware of the c-clip issue in the trans and have seen it several times . I sent her my video and she took it directly to the tech .
I am so happy , this has weighed heavily on me all week , just seemed everything was going wrong , good to get some positive news . Thanks to everyone who has helped me , and given their input . I will keep all informed of progress .

Brandi also made it sound like I could be going to the head of the line , for my inconvenience . She has been fantastic , and cute too .

Thanks everyone , especially for listening to my Ranting !

I bought my Vision in Oct 2013 and I got some kind of extended power train warranty and I am pretty sure they sent me something. Not sure it's worth the paper it's printed on, and I hope I never find out.

I sent both MOM's and Victory a FB message last night telling them to take a look at the Transmission Trouble thread on the forum.....

Thats good , although Brandi had said they are aware of the snap ring issue ... I wonder how many Vics this has afflicted . Imagine a recall for this kind of job , and labor involved ! Id be really interested in Victory reading into this , But , I don't think they will .

This had me wondering about mine (naturally)...But so many folks have a **** ton of miles with no issues, I decided not to worry. But now we are all aware anyways....I'll hit 40K this year and I'd like to think if there was anything faulty in the tranny it would have shown up by now. It still feels exactly like it did when I got the bike. Like a tractor!.....lol

In either 2012 or 2013 Victory changed the transmission gears to a (upgraded) back cut gear set design. From what I understand the gears are not interchangeable with earlier (2011) non back cut gear sets. I think all the gear part numbers are different. I'm not sure if there were any changes to the snap rings or the shafts but it's certainly possible. From what I've seen on the net this seems to have cropped up on 2012 and newer models.

I have no idea how any of this stuff works ... I just know when I'm distraught and upset and I need help from any dealer on any vehicle , I don't need to deal with an attitude , and feeling rushed and like my issue doesn't matter .... Although sometimes I don't have the greatest attitude either . :grin

Like VJ sez, bring some posies to Brandi and attach a thank you note. When the shop commences work on your bike, bring a box of donuts, those things work like magic.
BTW, when I bought my XR in Feb. 2010, it had a 2 year warranty. I never needed it, so you can have my unused warranty.
