Well I've owned my new 2017 Cross Country now since January 17th and I've got to say I'm impressed. My old 2013 had nothing wrong with it but I couldn't pass up the chance to buy a last production year CC for a good price.
Having said that, I've got about 4k miles on this one since new and it's been washed a total of two times (gotta love white bikes). The first time was at a car wash and yes I take it easy with the wand this isn't my first rodeo. About 11 pm that nite I got a check engine light, many hours after it's bath. The shop changed out the Idle Air Control and all was good. By the way in the week or more prior to getting the IAC changed out the light went out. At no time did the bike run "funny" or indicate mechanically that it didn't feel well. The mechanic discounted the fact that the bike had been washed recently and didn't think that had anything to do with it.
Skip ahead to last Saturday...
I washed the bike again, this time in my driveway with a rag and a hose. Again being cautious not to drown it in places that shouldn't be submerged. Guess what...same issue, I got a check engine light. By Sunday afternoon the light went out and all was just dandy again. I haven't taken it to the shop but I'll assume that once again the IAC got doused and didn't like it. But this time I actually paid attention to the code on the dash and was wondering if there is a key to finding out what the code is.
Error then a 0 where the gear indicator would normally show what gear you're in and then a 7. Below that were the numbers 520193
Anybody got a clue??
