Default Twisted Sisters 2017 trip

I thought I would post a few pics from our trip to the Hill country last week...we had a blast! One of the Guys that came up from HOuston trailered his 08 Heritage Softail and stopped at the HD dealer in Boerne, TX to get a few T shirts and ended up walking out with a '17 HD Ultra limited low...suckered, but it is a beautiful bike. In our group there is one Ultra, one ultra limited, one Honda VTX 1800, a street glide, a road king and My XCT. With all of those bikes mine seems to get the most attention when we stop.

Love those kinds of rides, when the trees are thick, tall and right up against the road it makes for a fun drive.

Many places on this ride there are curves on cliffs that drop several hundred feet straight down just a yard or so over the guardrails.None of the passengers (females) were brave enough to take photos when in those spots.

Here are a few more...the sign picture is adjacent to a rest stop that we stopped at which came right after a 15 mph curve that was on the edge of a cliff. Most of the roads are chip seal and this curve had most of the rock worn away and all of us hit the hot tar and had our rear tires slip out at least once. CAN YOU SAY PUCKER! Actually there were nine of us and there were nine Oh $h!+'s!

Reminds me of the Road to the sun in Glacier national park. One of my favorite rides thus far.

Heading out that way in early June 9th. Can't wait.

2016 Victory Cross Country Tour

I just plan on doing everything twice when I start it and that way when it takes 3 times to get it right I'm only half as mad.

What route down are you taking? From Ft Worth we take the Chisholm Trail pkwy to 67, to Glen Rose and then 220 to 281. 281 all the way to Burnet and then take 29 to Llano to stop at Coopers BBQ. From there we hop on 16 through Fredricksburg to Kerrville where we usually stay. Overall it is a pretty good ride with plenty of places to stop for gas and rest. Most importantly the roads aren't overrun with crash boxes and 18 wheelers, although you have to keep an eye out for deer and pigs around dark.
