Headed to Rich's this morning for my custom seat appt. Getting the seat with leather upgrade for now. Planning on adding the heater and backrest later on, couldn't afford it all in this one trip lol. After spending this I sure hope it's more comfortable to ride for longer periods of time.

Be sure and let us know how it turns out (with pictures, of course). I considered Rich's since he's local, but I really liked the Russell day-long on my last bike, and it was a great excuse for a ride down to Nor-Cal.

Not to be Debbie Downer or anything but I used local upholsterer that specialized in MC seats to make my stock seat more comfortable. It went back twice but they could never get it where I wanted it, I ended up selling it and buying a Drag Specialties low-profile Touring seat, which my butt has been happy on it for almost two years.

Well, to go the opposite way, I used Mean City Cycles in NC to customize my stock seat and it went from a 90 mile a seat to an all day seat. And for only $250.

Right at two years on mine and still love it.

I have had Rich's do my saddles and I'm here to tell you, he can turn a sow's ear (a Corbin saddle) into a silk purse. He truly turns yours into an all day saddle that fits like a tailored suit that fits you and you alone.
BTW, never use a natural product on Leather. Lexol was recommended to me by Rich.
