So I snagged these mirrors off ebay only to find out they are missing the studs for mounting (got my money back through paypal and the seller didnt want them back!). I need to find out exactly what it will take to get these mounted, as in a direct fit stud kit? Any actual help would be appreciated! thumb up

I remember seeing those... I was thinking about bidding on them too. Glad I decided to hold off!

Are they holes ok and the studs just missing? Or is it broken off in the hole? If it is the latter, you can drill it out and use a helicoil - otherwise take it up to an autoparts store and check their bolts/nuts area (or Lowes/HD) for what you need. Take your old mirrors with you to see what size you need.

They also make a bit called easy-out. It is essentially a reverse thread gripping bit. To use it, drill a small pilot hole in the stud and run this thing over it and it will extract it.

Lucked out, got 2 Drag Specialties DS-302148 adapters and all is good to go. Now that I have another set already on (Kuryakyn Skeleton Hand Mirrors), I have the stock set and these that I'm think of putting up for sale - Both sets are essentially brand new!

Not bad at all, so far.

I have those same mirrors. Funny thing is I ordered them from my dealer when I bought the bike and they didn't have them in stock so they were ordered, then shipped to my house. Arrived with no mounting studs. I called and they sent another set and I had to send the first set back in the box that the second set came in, which I did. Wonder if my first set ended up being sold on eBay.

Were they from a dealer in Lynnwood, WA?

Small world if they were!
