2011 Pin. Baseline is K&N filter, Stage I download for drag pipes and Stage I slip-ons. Cats also removed and replaced with Thunder Monsters. Knew it was running a little lean, but WOW!
Tuned run is with Ness Ram-Air, Lloyds Timing Wheel, PC-V and same pipes. Much better numbers, but look at A/F Ratio! Huge difference! Nick says different pipes would make huge difference and I agree, but that will have to wait another year......

Had an 05 that Lloyd tuned years ago. 4 ft-lbs and 2 HP gain was VERY noticeable. Picking up this weekend. Can't wait for the ride back!

Nick said it was very humid when tuning and that affected it a little. He also just mounted new rear tire. According to Lloyd (some time ago), that will cut into the numbers a tad too. With another exhaust, hopefully it'll get into triple digit HP......

You got a nice increase all the way across the tach and the road 'sees' the engine's power over time. The way these engines run, they are deceiving -- in that the sensation of acceleration is linear -- so what you get is the realization that the bike devours distance much more quickly. The way it accelerated in 3rd gear before, it will now feel that strong in 4th gear.

Please let us know how you like it. I'm sure the smile on your face would tell the tale, but we can't see you...

Not yet. I'm working and wrench is at rally with dyno. Pick bike up early Sunday afternoon. Gonna be about 95 degrees and a 3 hour ride home. Figuring I'll be sweaty but smiling......

Hell, just to have it running a bit cooler (more fuel) and not so damn jerky at low speeds, I'll be happy!

I wonder if the tuner that Phoenix used knew about the speed governor? I hope he tuned in 4th and pulled it in 5th after... if not, the bike isn't tuned past 5000 rpm and will spin to 5900 in 1st thru 4th gears with the PC-V rev extend.

Phoenix would easily crack 100 HP on that dyno if it would rev to 5500 or more in 5th.

Welcome to the world of nanny electronics, taking the fun out of everything.

Ride Home

Just got back from a 3 hour ride in 98 degrees. WOW !!! Nick tells me that the insane humidity we've had for 2 weeks dropped my numbers by just a little (along with new rear tire and belt). I'll be grinning from ear to ear, once I recover from the heat. 1st, no more jerkiness at low speeds. 2nd, runs a hell of a lot cooler. Inside of right leg no longer "Well Done". Before, I could run for an hour and stop. Crank back up after bathroom, etc. and it was very sluggish to turn over. You could tell the heat was straining the starter. Now, no issue. 3rd, TOURQUE !!!!! In town stop and go, I use to run in 3rd gear. Now 4th. No downshifting. Just twist and go! 6th gear used to be for 75 and above. Now I can go to 6th at 60 with no problem. Even though same exhaust, I may have to start wearing ear plugs on longer rides. Sounds a little louder, but much deeper and raspier. Downside: Squeeky new belt and complimentary black specs on exhaust. Been there, done that. A rag, gasoline and belt adjustment at 500 miles will take care of that. Ness air filter... I like the performance. Tiny noise from time to time from sucking air. Not bad, and with louder exhaust, Harley noticeable. Acceleration from stop and roll-on is neck snapping! Very pleased with the changes! Money well spent...

SIDE NOTE: Halfway through a 3 hour ride in 98 degrees, 10 minutes in the walk-in beer cooler at Sheetz is ALMOST better than sex !!!!!
