Ok I'm starting to notice that when my bike gets hot it doesn't wont to start? This has happened three times so far the last time was SAT night at the Cycles on Meridian in Indianapolis, you know it was a lot of stop and go traffic and long idle time at lights. I was in the parking lot of where we was going to depart for the ride around the city and the bike wouldn't start. I tried to restart three or four times and she wouldn't only after cooling down for about30mins was I able to start the bike normally. Is this a safety feature I'm not aware of??:frown

Tell us a bit more mate.

Was the starter motor turning the engine over or were you just getting nothing when you hit the button?

Yes the starter is turning the motor over it just wont start tell it cools down I'm just wondering if this is by design.

Las Vegas HOT

I had mine do this in Las Vegas last year. We had parked in front of the entry to the hotel maybe for 5 minutes with the bike off. They ask us to park else where(nicely). Cranked the bike over, it would not start. Tried it maybe three times. Popped the fuel cap lid open. Started the bike.......... It could be vapor lock from the heat, possibly.
