Roger on all that Wheel ~$130, air filter (maybe a K&N or Victory) ~$60, kill those O2s and get a 1/4 turn throttle ring (~$30). Cheap and you won't believe the improvement. I've done all those and am VERY happy.....for now.....
NO such thing as low price performance.
Drew Miller mufflers are good. You can find him on face book hes in MN.
Lloydz ATS wheel you can find at witchdoctor a long with 1/4 turn throttle ring.
Any parts from now on will coast lots of money
There's really no "low cost performance" ie; tricks that can be had for the Freedom 106. If you want better performance you're going to have to invest $$ into a adjustable timing gear, high-flow air filter, high-flow mufflers and fueling control/tuning. Now if you want to do this cheaply as possible this what I suggest:
1. buy my Victory stage1 air-filter(shameless plug ): $25
2. buy a set of Drew Miller or other re-cored mufflers: $300
3. buy a PC-V from Cycle Solutions with custom map for your set up: $300
This $625 will get you a decent boost....its about the least you'll spent for any real performance gains.
I'm confused...you'll have to help an old guy to understand buying a very expensive luxury toy and asking about putting cheap stuff on it to make an already great running machine run stronger. Help me out here.
I can relate cuz I'm a frugal cuss and have bought a few used items off of forum guys who upgraded - my Lloydz VFCIII is one of 'em. I have re-cored mufflers done by a local Vic guy that charged only $150 + 6 pack of dark beer! I agree with others; disconnect the O2s and get Lloydz adjustable timing wheel. It can end there, but we know it won't. So tell us why you want to chintz on a $20K toy?
So here's what I decided to do.
Muffler Bearings..Super Charger with high performance coil and 20mm spark plug wires and indexed spark plugs 1/4 turn and a tank of aviation fuel. :grin
Seriously I appreciate all the comments each one has made and I will get started ordering some as soon as my next Social Security check comes in.
Dimond Jim on FB or you can find parts on ebay has this tank lift. It a lows more air to get to the FI's making for performance
