Dang was thinking it would be a set it and forget it kind of deal, hoping it will feel like a clutch on the new bikes they are really easy to pull in.
Mate its far from set and forget, and you're a big boi anyway.
If you want the luxury of an EzyClutch ya gotta pay for it with maintenace or youll be burning out your clutch and itll be a pig to ride:crying
Maintain it and youre fine...clean and lube cable ends every 2500 miles and slip a 2mm allen key between the lever housing and the cable boss cos thats the ideal play with an EzyClutch...more any it wont release properly and less and itll slip.
Youll find in practice you'll move it up one flat of the nut every 5000 miles or so...how many miles do you average a year?
Up to you but its not set n forget at all.

Looks like you got a great deal - nice bike. I purchased the exact bike used a few years ago, and here are a few things to consider. Mine had a lowering link installed, and while it looked badass, it had tore up the wiring harness under the rear fender. The lowering link will also affect the ride and handling quality. I removed mine after a few rides and was much happier. Beware of the Easy Clutch. I ordered one for my bike, and found it was easy to install and not hard to adjust properly. I liked the feel of the clutch until I found the bad news. On mine I noticed after a few hundred miles that the cable was wearing where it exits an aluminum tube after it makes a 90 degree bend behind the rear cylinder.
The only adjustment for this is to take things apart and bend the small bracket where the tube passes through it. After a few hours of bending and beating on the bracket I finally gave up and removed the Easy Clutch. Witchdoctor was kind enough to exchange it for a standard black clutch cover at no charge. Good luck with yours!

Instead of ordering a lowered kickstand for 150ish bucks could I just get the kickstand from a 10+ year model Vegas that is already lower then the 08'? Finding used Vegas low and 10+ kickstands online for around $30 vs 150

Loving my Vegas, have taken the lowering links off for now. I can comfortably flat foot it without them and i was scraping pegs and once scraped the tubing on the underside.

Removed the tank emblems and want to try and find some vinyl graphics for the sides of the tank. Have not decided on a color but I think I am going with the old Victory script on both sides. and maybe the Victory V on the rear fender in the same color.

Looking to be in the 90's here next week while I'm off work going to try and get a ride up into North Carolina and see some mountains.

Badge less:

Thinking of this decal in either red or white, just need to find the V decal for the rear fender.

Also got a really good deal on the newer style seat like the 14 vegas has. Got it for under $50 shipped, plan is to send it off the Mean City Cycles for the Double memory foam mod and pick up a grasshopper backrest for the longer rides.

Ordered some Kuryakyn premium mini boards for my Vegas last night and the splined adapters. Got the decal in the pic above in red, a seal mate and dust boots, got a little seepage on one seal. And want to order a grasshopper backrest or similar soon. Put my rear seat back on without the backrest and am planning on selling it to cover the eBay purchases hopefully. See them selling for $229 new, figure I can get at least 120$ on CL to cover my eBay purchases last night.

Installed some eBay risers today and pulled them back off and put factory ones back on. With them installed one direction they blocked the speedo and the other direction they blocked he engine lights. Just wanting a little more height and stock pull back.

Probably get some new bars later with 2-3" over factory height, have some research to do first to see what rise they have.

Made a 200 miles ride through today, along the NC border and back down to Clemson before heading back home. Was a Very nice day to be riding. Only had one downside to the day, while leaving the house I was going through a green light and a car blew through running the red light and almost T-boned me.....

Whoever it was never let up on the accelerator either, had to be going 50+ when the speed limit at that intersection is 35. Luckily I was in a lower gear and gunned it outta the way, but damn was a bad way to start such a nice ride.

Sold the seat to cover my latest order, got the victory logo in red, kuryakyn mini boards and splined adapters, and a factory solo seat I got for $40.

Thinking of some new bars, mini apes maybe or some bars with 6" rise. But will probably get a full fairing first to block some of the wind before I try new bars.

Did find a site that has all types of 1" bars for reasonable prices found several sets for $99 that would look good.

https://www.biltwellinc.com/c1/buy/handlebars/

Don't know if any of the ones with built in risers will work but the 1" bars that fit into factory risers should.

Nice ride today after the T-storms last night and before it starts up again this evening. Was thundering and getting dark up near the mountains, had to head back down.

Added some new decals and many miles to the bike. Thinking about going with a different color decal and still searching for a set of bars with a little more pullback than stock without using risers if possible. Hoping to find them cheaper than the $500 ness bars....
