Buddy owns a dyno. Bike is all stock 2500 miles now. All that is done is freeze type deals I took out of mufflers. Rest is stock all stock. To my surprise it only made 69hp and 76tq. Weird it pulls like a freight train. The graph was very flat all the way across and the air fuel was about factory perfect. I think guys with 83hp and 100tq are not all stock.

There restricted pretty good

Pulled air cleaner cover and slid filter out went up the road air noise was loud and bike pulled front wheel off the ground in first twisting the throttle. What I thought its choked up pretty bad from the factory. I kept thinking these guys are getting 100 tq all stock wow. Nope like a HD stock there crippled. EPA has them choked up. Being a 106 and lighter bike it just felt different that 106 feels good long stroking through the throttle range.

Those dyno numbers you got seem strange to me. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything negative like that, but my highball feels much more ferocious than the dyno suggests. Oh well says me! Plenty of torque for this guy... any more and I just might hurt myself. :)

different dynos show different numbers, yours sound pretty low, mean dyno is all

LOL yeah

Weird I was real happy before dyno. But if it feels good with these numbers on the street it pulls fast and hard. Seemed like the dyno brake was on things moved pretty slow during the pulls. Don't matter if it feels this good now tomorrow the timing wheel will be here. And in a few days a RPW Thor will be here. Buddy is going to see after he gets to his shop after work how much a PCV 5 can be had for. Then as money gets here looks like a Lloyds TQ tubes will be ordered. It should wake up then. Thinking maybe the 2015s are really choked up. I hope hahaaha

Your numbers do look low mate. I think you will find the numbers quoted of 83/100 are at the motor. Your numbers are at the wheel.

Ah, that's is not an accurate statement. My 100% STOCK bike made 82HP/92TQ AT THE WHEEL, not at the motor. Air filter add only equated to 87HP/99TQ at the rear wheel on the exact same Dyno.

The OP said that he removed ...something... from his pipes thinking that he was "freeing it up" but others made that same mistake when the removed the cats. Doing that have been PROVEN to HURT the performance on these bikes. You see, these bikes STOCK were designed to have the back pressure provided by the cats. Removing them looks to have hurt the original posters HP by as much as 10%

Yeah I don't really care. All it means is I got alot of room to get her running. Dyno is a tool. Dewey in New Mexico told me one time I was putting his heads on a wide glide he said put on the dyno and tune it. Don't worry about the numbers in a few weeks give me a call after you have run a few guys. That bike made 94 hp and 101 tq. And would walk on alot higher dyno bikes out in a street race. When the tire hits the street that tells the real story. It runs good now for a stock bike. Just need to unleash it now.

If you look into the mufflers you will see what looks like 1 freeze plug in each muffler. They are held in place by 3 spot welds each. Until I knocked them out you could barley feel the exhaust note. And after you could see the rest of the baffle holes that were blocked by the plugs. And on the dyno the air fuel was about perfect all the way through. And bike felt quicker also its still quiet but you can here it now. I am going to inistall trigger wheel tomorrow, and a Thor is on the way. I will need more fuel and air. THEN the motor will work more efficient.

Based on what you are describing, it sounds like the prior owner has simply removed the O2 sensors and bung welded those open ports closed. Nothing wrong with that but now we are left wondering... what did you use to "seal up" the openings if not plugs? If nothing then isn't exhaust escaping at those openings?
Either way, have fun with the mods. I have no idea what a trigger wheel might be but perhaps you meant to say a TIMING wheel from Lloyds.

Just got a message on my phone.

Buddy just sent a text message, said dyno was off by 20 that means my tq was at 96tq and HP was 86hp in 4th gear. 89hp in 5th. the mufflers inside about 8 inchs in has a freeze plug welded in with 3 spot welds. I bought the bike new about 6 weeks ago 02 are still in bike is all stock 2500 miles. I guess I wasted money today buying that Thor pipe. Lloyds timing wheel should be here tomorrow. I have been on that dyno before are should I say alot a few years ago and also new this highball had more than his Dyno was saying. Guess he did also. Have no idea what was wrong with it. anyway had to get back on here before bed and let you guys know the dyno did have a problem. LOL guys my bike runs good again now hahaahhhaaahahha.

after goodies

Put a RPW Thor header on, also Lloyds tq tubes,Lloyds timing wheel and a PCV. Bike now at 94.51 hp and 114.15 tq. Pull out of drive way are anywhere else no clutch just twist the throttle and you hit riv limiter and tire done burned through 1st then second it is now a tire burner. Need to have rpm limit raised. I read where Lloyds can do that. Wonder if a dealer would raise the limit. My friend had a drum on his dyno go bad are what ever, reason for the faulty readings awhile back, Header is nice on the bottom and riding around. My boy took it for a spin last night. I could here him over on the highway sounded like a race car lol. Tell you what I got two Harleys one with 110 tq and 100 hp and it don't sound like this Vic. The vic has its own nasty sound wow. Thor header is pretty cool item. $$$$$$$$$$$$

Oh yeah after a few tuning pulls my buddy dyno owner says you got one of two problems. You are spinning the tire on the drum are your clutch is slipping. I took the easy pull off and jumped to 114 tq very next pull. I really liked the clutch easy pull. I think on a stock bike and a easy rider its good. But turn the HP and TQ up your going to have problems if you run hard.

Adjustment with Easyclutch is super critical...if you aint got 2mm freeplay at the lever the youre risking your clutch.
Most Vic clutches are light anyway and dont need an Easyclutch.
2010 Vegas has a heavier clutch, and my semi-arthritic left hand needs it.

Crazy

He had tuned his own bike 2015 Road glide the week before so put it on and it was down by 20 on the numbers couple days after my first pull. After further investigation the second drum was goofed up. I don't know what that means, but you can dyno 4 wheeler s on his dyno also. Don,t go by what I say on here. This cat has some very strong running bikes that he has built. His ZX 12 was over 300 hp with out nitrous still has it and that was done back in the day before his dyno. Mostly from just head work he did to the Kaw a few years ago. Anyway after a few miles on my Highball and 110 ft lbs tq at around 2800-3000 rpm cruising down the highway my bike at just a crack of the throttle in 6th just is a beast running down the highway. I am finding really no reason to down shift and make the header loud at all just running around to work are anything else. And just rolling no clutch it will fry the tire in first. Kind of got over that after the first few days. Figuring a rear tire was around the corner if I didn't quit lol. This Vic motor just runs up so fast compared to my HDs and they run good.

4800 miles so for

Bike still runs like a champ. first and second on the highball at full throttle mostly just spin. A 116 kit etc with 140 hp and tq would be usless in first and second on the highball. The rear tire spins pretty easy now. The thor sounds great. But my pipe covers had a bad coating and rpw wanted me at my cost to send them to Oregon form IL to have them recoated. I refused to do that I would of had over $900 in the pipes. I Used high quality heat paint and put them back on. Lady couldn't understand why I didn't want to have them done right. I said the exhaust is new And I was at like $860 in the pipe already. Ceramic coating was junk on my pipe. 2015 highball is a screamer for sure.
