Turn Signal Bulbs (Not LEDs)

Hey all - so in my quest to find clear lenses for my High Ball I was able to find out that Ducati Monster Lenses will work, now I'm stuck. The stock bulbs, I can only find in clear or in amber. The issues with that is clearly the clear bulbs will be illegal and the ambers wont be aesthetically pleasing.

They make the "Stealth Bulbs" - chrome covered bulbs that light up amber when turned on, but I cant find any in 5008/R10W. I was able to find them in 1156 though. They both have the same base (BA15S) but I'm worried about the wattage difference and heat being an issue.

The question is; has anyone used an 1156 for their turn signals?

They both have the same base (BA15S) but I'm worried about the wattage difference and heat being an issue.

Thanks in advance

I just use what came on the bike..combined with hand signals when I feel the need to.
Sometimes I just use hand signals.
On older bikes pre ADR (Australian Design Rules) I'll generally remove blinkers and rely on hand signals ,where I can get away with it..
though they're definitely more visible at night.

I may still have a few left.

Thanks for the responses guys. Sadly, I'll get a lot of crap from the fuzz here in MA taking my turn signals off.

Ducati Monster turn signal assemblies are exactly what Vics use.

I'm trying to avoid the "egg yolk" effect you get when you have clear lenses with amber colored bulbs (like the image above) by replacing them with something like this;

I cant find that style bulb in the 5008 platform and am thinking of trying 1156 (if there is enough room to put the lens back on)

I know the 1156 would not work on the 07 and older bikes. The base although it looked the same...it was slightly different and would not work. As for newer steel frame bikes...have not tried them. I used to stock clear lenses and both the amber and chrome bulbs for the Victory bikes when there were real popular several years back. I will dig out my old bins and check to see what I have left. I know I may be out of lenses, but pretty sure I still have plenty of both bulbs.
Will post up here as soon as I confirm.

There should be a Phillips pan head screw in the back of the assembly that will remove the lens. Don't over tighten, they seem like the screw can strip really easily

The regular amber colored I have a bunch. As for the chrome that light up amber, not sure. I may be out of those. Will double check when I get into my shop tomorrow.

Please let me know!
I ordered some on Amazon based upon the recommendation of someone on here, but they are a light orange color... I'd like that dark amber look if possible.

I don't think I need the chrome ones as my lenses are smoked- not worried about the orange coming through when they are off.

Have them in stock. Updated the website so you can order them directly.
Out of the chrome version.
