Got myself a new to me 2011 Victory Cross Country a couple weeks ago. Very nice bike. Working on getting it "un-lowered" so that I can enjoy it even more. Looks good, but I'm a carver and scraping pipes before boards cost chrome. Been through too may sets of pipes on other cruisers.

Bit about myself. I live in SoCal. Been riding most all my life. Took a hiatus when I had kids and started up again about 15 years ago although I didn't give up offroad dirt bikes, just the street for a while. Got well over 500k miles on my butt so I'm not new to riding, just new to the Vic line but I been watching.

Been riding a Suzuki Intruder LC1500 for about 10 years now. Loved the bike but the XC has been calling my name for a while. This one seems hooked up as well with the LLoyds Performance Cam Set, Timing Adjust Wheel, Processor, RPW exhaust. Had the Suzuki C109 for a while and I do believe this will out run that. Have no proof just seat of the pants feel. Certainly handles better by far. Seating position is much better as well although the seating on the LC was fantastic as I was "IN" the bike, not "ON" it like I feel with many other bikes. This one I feel "IN" it although I will be working on getting even more in it.

Some nice features on the XC, some quirks too (don't they all have them). If anyone has some "MUST DO" upgrades for reliability they know of I would appreciate the information. I am a moderator in the Delphi Forums for the Suzuki Intruder/C90 and there are some must do mods on that bike to make it better, more reliable. Most bikes have them and I'm not one to enjoy fixing my bike alongside the road or having it towed for repair, although I have been in the repair on the road situation adventures before, and I'm sure will again.

I do all my own work, cept machine stuff. Am capable of tearing it completely down and putting it back together without hesitation but forehanded knowledge is good.

So, that's me. Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Welcome to the Victory forum! I am new to Victory as well. Just had mine almost 3 months and have put over 5k miles on it. I love it and I hope you love yours too!
