Sounds good, were definitely heading there the last week in August. We were actually talking about it today, seems so far away though...

Rte. 6 check out the Allegheny National Forest, Hyner View State Park, Kinzua Bridge State Park and Kinzua Dam. The Little Grand Canyon is a nice area as well. Give a shout when your down this way and we could meet up or if you need help if you like.

That's exactly where we were! The plan was to spend the first night in Warren and then move on to Williamsport but the Warren and Allegheny forest area was just too nice too leave. We went to all the places you mentioned but the mini grand canyon, where heading back the last week of August, cannot wait to head back! What an amazing area that is outside of Warren, we really liked route 666, too bad it was so dirty at the time we went through but still amazing!

This time ( if you didn't do it before) you might want to make a run to Bradford. Nice town and bike friendly. Also the Zippo factory is there to tour. Did you get to Rim Rock state park or Brooks Rocks? 2 more great stops. Also check for events. Not sure when it is but there is a ride that let's the bikes cross the dam. Lots of nice small towns in the area as well. I grew up in the area and when I get there I try to take my wife( from Nebraska) to as much as I can to show her everything and to see it again for myself.

Bradford sounds like a great area to stop, I just checked the map and it is only 3.5 hrs from my place! What is the lodging like around there? One of the main reasons we ended up staying in Warren every night was the fact that the hotel we stayed at let us park right at the front door under there canopy. We were planning on Coudersport as the first stop this year as it seems to be a central location between the Allegheny forest and the grand canyon of PA. This is a guys trip so we leave the wives at home for it and it's all about the bike and just riding from morning till night and stopping to see the scenery along the way !

Never have looked at lodging there. Any time I'm in the area I stay with family. However on another forum some guys made a similar trip and said lodging was bike friendly. Similar to Warren. Food was good as well.
