Chopping Kingpin Fenders

I am thinking of chopping the front and rear Kingpin fenders about 4" shorter. Let me know what you think of the Photoshopped image.

I like it. I have had simlair thoughts about the KP fenders.
My other thought was to just get custom fenders, and a paint job the tank with them...

Custom fenders is another option. The challenge is it's hard to visualize what those fenders look like on the bike as they don't often provide an image. If anyone has replaced their fenders with custom ones, would you post some pictures?

I did consider the option of going with a Hammer front fender and a Vegas rear fender too. Factory cost on those are about $1700 total. They are hard to find in the classifieds as well.

The yellow bike is just a black KP. The brown one is Zach Ness's bike.
