: How do you remove the factory grips? SGTred 08-07-2009, 07:02 PM I am wanting to replace the grips on my 08 vegas 8ball. I am thinking about picking up a pair from SMT machining. Can anyone tell me if they've used these grips and how they like them. The mechanic recommended using brake cleaner. It comes in a spray with a little tube to put on the sprayer. I used a small screw driver and worked it under the grip to get enough space to slide the sprayer in. The brake cleaner is alcohol based so it does not leave a greasey residue.
