:confused:Has anyone tried the AVON 200/50 18 rear tire on a Kingpin?
If so, any pros or cons?

Old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has ever went with anything larger than stock on there bike.

With current setup or maybe a conversion kit, etc...

If you haqve Stingray wheels; it is no problem. If you have any other wheel they are .5" to narrow, and causes the tire tire to crown. Actually reduces contact patch, and makes the tire taller

So if I dont have the stingray wheels and I have the stock cast aluminum wheels what could I go up to? 200?

Even the 180 that it comes stock with is pushing it on your stock wheel.

I wouldn't do it, the manufacturer matches tires to the bike as far as handling goes. You should stick with the 180. There are a few other brands of tire you can try though. Avon is one of them.

I was lookin to see if I could get away with a 190 or 200, I would like a tire thats super sticky in wet conditions.

But if not, thats ok too.

You could try a Pirelli 180-55-18 Night dragon, supposed to be a good wet tire.

Or...according to some folks the Metzler 880's...are good on wet pavement.....

I have a 2006 Vegas Premium with the stock 180 tire. Would it be possible to put on a 200/50R18? I was looking at the Dunlop Elite 3. Also the best price I found was with Dennis Kirk. Is there someone that offers a better price?

Go post your question in the Victory Vegas Forum thread, this is the Kingpin Forum thread.

Do a search first, I'm sure it may be more common on a Vegas.
