: Considering a Victory Vision

Why should I consider buying a Victory Vision rather than a Harley Electraglide? I test drove one last week and showed it to my wife. She loves to ride with me, but she can't get over how the Vision looks. To her it is too Star Trekie...futuristic...It was for me also, but the looks are growing on me.

To me it seems that the Vision has the luxury of a GoldWing, but the muscle of a Harley...

Let me know what you think...and help persuade me why I should purchase the Victory Vision.

First the only person that can convince you is you.

Now, saying that, you are comparing the Vision to the Electra. There is no comparison as they are apples to oranges. The Vision is comparable to a Goldwing. Victory has the muscle of a Harley? LOL HD doesn't have the STOCK muscle to match a Victory unless you go with a special build like the CVO's. ;)

You want something from Victory that is comparable to an EG? Test ride the Cross Country or Cross Roads. They are the newest offerings from Victory. They are just starting to hit the dealer showrooms.

RH, don't compare. I have 14 months now without an EG and 17000 miles of enjoyment. I recently worked on a friends 06 EG Classic just like the one I traded in on my Vision and I cant get over how small it is in comparison. Add to that the fact that if you buy a FLHTCU you have those lower ferrings and are locked in on that position. I am 6'-3" and have plenty of room and position changing with those stock running boards. Consider also that if you want heated grips and seat on the HD you pay, you also won't get floating disc brakes, a light in the trunk, and an adjustable windshield so figure out what you two like in a bike and go for it. I think the look and feel of my bike is unbeatable and when my HD friends rag on me I turn up my tunes, twist the throttle and talk to them when they catch up to me.

If you like the looks of the Vision- buy one, you will not be disappointed. I have 13k on mine I got in March and I have loved every mile.

It is funny when an HD pulls up next to me, they useally keep looking forward and do not react- they can't stand the fact that I paid $10k less, have more power, more comfort and their wife would be happier on the back on my bike! LOL

If the Vision makes you happy then ride it. I'm sure all of us here can agree that if your on two wheels it's ok with us.
