: The look of a vision???

Looking into the Vision once again. Like to get feedback from members on the look of the Vision. Is this design of the Vision a passing phase or something that will be the norm??? At times I like the look of the Vision,I actually think it has a custom design. Then at times it looks too futuristic. Any similar thoughts and inputs would be appreciated.

To my eye, it's paint job dependent. For instance, I think this one looks awesome:

While the one is just sorta bland:

One thing that kinda surprises me about them is how much heavier than the X bikes they are to lift off the stand. Not sure how that translates into handling if at all.

I own a red one like the one pictured above. I get people approaching me all the time about it with admiration. The good looks of it may be more the trim paint then anything. How long will they be making them? Well, its also a great riding bike, handles great. Harley had to upgrade the 2011 road glide frame and suspension just to be competitive with this one. So, it's the best of breed in my opinion.

The first time I saw the Vision I thought

I admit that the look has grown on be a bit over the years but not enough to buy one. It seems most people love it or hate it.

As for handling and comfort it is awesome. I test rode one and was really surprised at how well they handle the twisties. The electric windscreen was a really nice feature too. It was quite cool that day and I only went on a short ride but I could feel the heat. I could see being able to ride all day without a problem as long as you get the fairing lowers to manage the heat. Honestly though I think I'd still rather have a XCT.

Maybe if it had a bit more of a bat wing style fairing...but then it wouldn't be a Vision ;)

Too much of a good thing? I think that is my thinking but I don't know if I know that.
When Vic debuted the Vision a lot, and I mean just about all of my buds hated it. That was enough reason for Pop to take a trip to the dealer to test one out. I sure like all the bells and whistles. Still do. But alas, my personal taste in motorcycles is a little more conservative than the Vision. I was disappointed that I couldn't cozy up to the beast. I really wanted to make that new bike in town relationship work out.
Then, the Cross Country grew up and got all curvy, especially that big old padunkadunk and even though the Vision has some fine and unique attributes I found myself checking out the Tour.
It ain't crazy love. It's a thing where I can count on the Tour to be there for me and considering my needs, it's able to deliver. I have run around with sexier bikes but they were all high maintenance and I spent half my time and half my paycheck keeping them all dolled up.
The Vision is just a touch too "Hey, lookee me" for Pop. These days I like a bike that is just there for me and when I push its buttons it doesn't make a bunch of noise. I will admit that I want it to look good enough that I feel good about being out with it on Friday night but having kept a few centerfolds I'm here to say that one good solid bike that can carry a load without complaining is worth all the stripped down models you can afford.
Anyway, you got to figure the Vision is not going to undergo a radical facelift. It is a statement already, a flagship statement at that. I'm saying, if you say you have a Harley, one citizen pictures some Shriner Road King looking bagger and another pictures an old snorting hardtail with apes. If you say you ride a Victory, one guy thinks that you are riding one stylicious spaceship and some other guy thinks you are riding around in a damned spaceship. Either way they are both thinking Vision. There were Vics before the Vision and there are beaucoup models to choose from now in the Victory stable, but when the peeps on the outside hear Victory they think Vision and the statement Victory made in the Vision is cast in stone as part of motorcycling history.

I didn't like how small the saddle bags are on the inside. From the outside they look quite large. Also the inside are a poor shape for packing.

It is a nice looking bike without the trunk. The trunk is just ugly, of course that is just my opinion:)

Ive tried and tried but i dont like the vision no matter how it takes the wind which seems to be the number one pro for getting one..If I was touring I still would get the XC. .

Vision? A great ambassador for Victory and put them on the map, or put them on the map for me. For everyone that was looking for something unique they got it in a grand way. Not only unique but a great motorcycle. A touring bike that compared well with the king of touring the Goldwing. I however could not plunk my cash for it. When I saw the Cross Country I said to myself very interesting. When I saw the Cross Country Tour I went to the bank.

My 2011 Silver/Black gets all sorts of attention, everywhere I go, from HD and non HD types alike. On trips, while flattering, it tends to prolong food and fuel stops! LOL

IMO the Vision looks best loaded down and 2k mi. away from home. They are a real conversation piece for sure. The only neg. feed back I've gotten has come from an occasional boy toy rider who wouldn't know what a real touring bike was even if he got ran over by one.
The saddle bags are adaquate for 1 up,I can load everything I've packed on a Harley bagger for 2 weeks.I rather like the looks of the tour pack.

On a recent trip I saw more Vision's than any other make and model. Looks like they have really gone mainstream for touring. Saw two separate groups of mostly Visions heading East. I was wondering where they might have been going.

I really don't know whats up in our area, would have thought the VV's would be out in force but rarely see one. I know one rider about 15 miles from here and there are two in the general area that commute alot but thats about it... Lookin forward to Demo day in late april and hope to meet some more. As for the clown face, yea, I seen that too and it haunted me. I finally got around to installing my clear lens with Switchbacks. Next stop is HID's for my driving and that should pull my color contrast closer together.

Ok wait a minute..who ever said that the vision was paint job dependent was so right..Ive never seen a black vision and that bike is badass..maybe its because the trunk is off. that bike is stud..

but i must laugh at the silver one below it...the comparison to BOZO the clown pic was halarious..Now everytime I see a vision thats all I see..

BOZO the clown from the front!!!! Thats crazy

I've noticed all the "badass" pics of a Vision show either the side or rear, not the front ;)

My close friend sent me a picture of him test riding a vision. I didn't know what it was back then. I laughed and asked him if George Jetson knew he stole his bike. Now after owning my hard ball in have been around a vision little bit more and got to ride one myself. I do like them little bit more. Handles great easier to move around than my hardball. I rode a tour model and couldn't tell how big it was. So would i buy one probably not right as of now. Would I have a problem riding one all day not one bit

I didn't like the looks of the vision in the showroom when i first started looking at Vics... However, after a couple of months of looking at them, i swear they started growing on me. I almost backed out of my leftover 2012 XC purchase and probably would have if i could have found a leftover Ness Vision...

I really like the looks of them w/o the trunk just like i prefer the look of the XC w/o the trunk. I'm glad I bought the XC as I prefer the handling, especially in the city, which is where i do most of my riding at this time of my life. I also prefer the storage... But looks??? Tough choice!

The first time I saw a Victory Vision I didn't really like the looks because it was so different from other bikes. Although I would always check them out every time I would see one. The trunk just looked to big and curved out from the bike. Years later I saw one without the trunk and I really appreciated the curves of the bike. The pipes, the V taillight, rear shape of the bags, all scream out beauty, and are nicely done. I leave my trunk off and when I have a huge trip planned I put it back on, the space inside is incredible. The side bags are not the biggest, but they are adequate and the shape of the bike I have come to love. cheers Like always! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :) :)

I have to admit, at first I wasn't overwhelmed with the Vision's looks. I do like the"Futuristic" look it sports but was never a huge fan of a stationary faring, until I rode one. That, my friends, put me over the top. I've had 4 back surgeries and the vision was a PERFECT match for me. The way it rides and handles is second to NONE!!!! My 25 yr old son says I look like "Judge Dredd" on it, but I'm ok with that. I've had it for 4 months now and I love Samson (the bike's name) in every way.
