thats what i use. get a small foam paint brush and have it.

I personally use carb cleaner. Stick an old rag into the throttle bodies before starting. Spray the throttle bodies then clean with a towel, q-tips, cotton tip cleaners, small foam paint brush etc..

Be sure to twist the throttle so you clean both sides!

Before you dig into all that, I would suggest checking the idle cable adjustment.

I had a similar problem on my 06. First check the throttle bodies, that wasnt the problem on mine though. It just needed a idle adjustment. If you take of the "cheese wedge" on the left side, or the key side....and you look deep back there, there will be a brass looking screw. Take your time and adjust that as necessary. I like to have mine around 1K. With the fast idle up at around 2K. Hope this helps.

Dude...thank you SO MUCH for posting this, I was afraid I was gonna have to remap my engine for a lousy 200 rpm's!!! Bike idles like a champ now.
