I have the stage 1 level 1 with the six shooter tips. I did not want loud. I am very happy with them.

I have to agree, I have the stage 1's that are well seasoned and really like their sound. Not overwhelming.

I have Level 1 mufflers also. I was just able to hear my stock mufflers. I wanted to be able to hear them but still be able to hear the radio without turning it up to loud. The level 1 mufflers to me are just right. There is enough tone to hear, but not be excessive. The Level 2 mufflers are louder yet, and I think for my style of riding would be to loud on any extended run. Any aftermarket mufflers and/or exhaust system I think would be louder than the Level 1 mufflers. I know for me on short ride louder is better, 20 or 30 miles, but for a longer ride, 100 to 200 miles or more, what I have in the Level 1's is almost perfect. It just comes down to what level of loud is acceptable to you and your comfort level.

A buddy of mine works for RUSH Racing Products, they make exhaust for Harleys and metrics, but are starting to R&D a line of exhaust for Vics. He said they are starting with slip-ons and head pipes(true duals) for the X-Roads, X-Country, and Vision. Then they are suppose to start on the Vegas(my bike), Jackpot, Hammer, and the new Highball. they'll be doing full systems and slip-ons for all the Vics. He said one of the biggest selling features of their exhaust is interchangeable baffles, so it is just a matter of switching baffles and you can increase or decrease the tone and volume. Here's their website: www.rushracingproducts.com.

RifRaf, I just bought and installed the CFR slip on's. They are dumping them as the word is they are working on a true dual full length sysem. So originally $650ish, now $400 + shipping. They have a deep resonant sound louder than the stock but not overwhelmingly loud. COming from my sprt cruiser V twin (Kawi V Twin with 2:1 system that is very loud) they seems a good balance. I can still hear my sound system. I do wish they were a little louder when I step on it, but then they would overwhelm the sound system. So I think these are a good comprimise and at a great price.

go with stage 1, good balance between radio sound and exhaust.
