Considering purchasing either a Kingpin 8 ball or a vegas 8 ball. I went to a local dealer and the salesman says the kingpin is a way better handling bike on the highway...more stabililty with the inverted fork design. anyone have thoughts as to how much difference in handling between inverted versus conventional? also, all articles i have read thus far suggest 6 speed is the way to go for 2 up riding. thoughts on 2 up with the 5 speed?

having rode both the vegas is better in the twisties, the kinpin has more saddle room.. as far as the 6 speed, it seemed when i rode one i was always searching for the right gear, kind of got old. i have a 04 with a 5 speed and od pulley and love the set up. it really boils down to what feels comfortable to you.

hi bungln, thanks for your post. hmm. interesting. everything i read suggests the kingpin is a better handling bike...as they say victory's "rider's" bike. i still have to try riding both...like the looks of the vegas a bit better. re: the 5 vs 6 speed. very interesting. i think for what i need sounds like the 5 speed will be ample.

Having also ridden both, my opinion is that the Kingpin handles better, and rides better. I guess to each their own.
For anything under about 60, the 5 speed is just as good as the 6, IMHO.
