New to forum

Hello, I am new to the forum and I just wanted to drop a line. I purchased my first bike, a 2008 Suzuki C50 in August. I fell in love with riding and last week, I bought a 2009 Victory Vegas 8-ball. I did add the swept pipes (chrome) and my customization has begun.

At any rate, I look forward to chatting with everyone on this forum.

Just for a little background, I had every intent to purchase a HD. However, after test riding several of the Harleys I came to the conclusion that, to me, the Vegas was easily the best looking cruiser on the market (couldn't get over the fenders on the Kingpin). After riding the bikes, my decision was set, both looks and technology were on the side of the Victory.

To be very clear, I was considering the Harley Street Bob, Street Glide and NightTrain. Price was not a significant part of my calculation although they were all roughly the same price.

Hey Russ...Great choice...I have an 07 Victory Vegas and a 04 Harley Road King Classic, love them both... But I ride my Victory a lot more than the Harley. Its a great ride...

When you chose the Vegas, what HD's were you considering?

Great choice! I love my Victory Jackpot. I was looking at the Harley Rocker but decided against it since the salesman was a jackass unwilling to deal and I didn't like the front of the bike. The guys at Cochise motorsports in Sierra Vista, AZ were awesome. They hooked me up with a deal I couldn't pass up and even looked for transport company's to ship my bike from Arizona to Hawaii. Mike Shindler was my salesman. The mechanics even put the stage 1 kit and swept exhaust on my bike at the last minute before it shipped to Hawaii. I can't say enough good things about the Mike, the sales staff and their mechanics! Thanks Cochise Motorsports.

Welcome to the forums. I will post some pics of my bike now that I have done a number of upgrades to it.

I always said my last bike was going be a Harley, looked at Rocker c, superglide custom and dyna low riders When I decided to buy a new bike I did research on the net to see what was available for over 3 months, a friend mentioned check out Victory so I did....(the Harley Dealers in Hawaii will not give deals they price 2 to 5 grand over MSRP.) I was very impressed with Victory and read every thing I found about it and made a decision to try one out. No dealer in Hawaii so I researched all about them from the net. I read all the customer's comments and said this must be one heck of a bike. So I looked for a dealer. Arizona Victory made me a deal I could not refuse... did all the paper work through over night deliveries. they set up the shipping right to my driveway. I am a very happy Victory owner. :D
