Just wanted to share this with everyone who may be looking for an alternative to the same old Highway Pegs. We are calling these "Heel Blades". They are made from 2B Electropolished Stainless Steel and made here in the USA.thumb up They are almost invisable when they are in the closed position and provide that extra foot position/support for the long rides. Ok...so those are pretty cool. And I am assuming that they will fit the X bikes since they share the same boards as the Vision. How about instalation? Any clearance or dragging issues?

Yes...same floor boards, they will work on X bikes.
Installation is pretty simple. Remove rubber floorboard cover, place supplied template, drill two holes, install all supplied hardware and parts, reinstall rubber floorboard cover.

As of today, I have not heard of any clearance or dragging issues yet from the few that have already been installed and in use. I will place calls to them to see if any issues have been noticed and report back to here asap.

"The installation was easy and the comfort on a long ride was better. There was no clearance issues.The only issue is that the bolts you install with, are tight enough to keep them in place when not in use and loose enough to slide them out when you need them. I hope this helps. Bobby"

"From Peter aka Chesshiretune....I love mine. I am 6' 2" and they allow me to staighten my legs. I was resting my heels on the forward tipovers untill a road anomaly( unseen chuck hole ) caused my leg to bounce off and contact the ground.... The install on my bike was easy. I have the factory chrome floor boards and they have the holes in them already. I pulled the floor boards loose from the floor pan, insstalled the bolt plate,reinstalled the floor boards and installed the Blades. 15-20 minutes total time for both sides . After the initial adjustment I took a ride to get the hang of them. They have a minimal appearance when stored in the closed position and most people don't notice them untill I point them out."

"From David aka..Commish...I got the early version and having the 2008 standard Vision; I had to mark and drill my own holes to mount them.

After riding around with them for these past few months I find them a bit long for my 5'10" frame.

I have also found that although they are a bit long for me that they do work rather well; allowing myself to relax my legs in a more forward location when traveling on a major highway.
I do use them on the lesser highways and backroads but not as often because I find myself extending them and retracting them a little more often; just an annoyance for myself; so I normally leave them in when on the backroads that have more curves in them. Just as I do for the normal highway pegs mounted on the crashbar on my Kingpin.

Overall; I would recommend them to anyone considering a more forward relaxed riding position for the Vision over the Factory version; as the switchblades do not allow for your legs to straddle so far out as the factory highway pegs do.
