Hi everyone.

I'm thinking of switching from my little baby Honda Shadow 750 to a Victory Hammer.

I love the way the bike looks and sitting on one at the bike show recently it was very comfortable.

Looking at prices it seem 2006/2007 have pretty reasonable prices and it goes up fast after that.

Is there some reason for this? Do the 2006/2007 bikes have issues?

05-07 are the way to go. The fuel injection is simpler, but very well sorted out, and the motors lend themselves to modifications better then the 08, and up stuff

Oh that sounds good then. I was reading about some issues with vibration and stuff on these older bikes. I don't know anything about them at this point though.

Are you confusing Victory with Harley? There is vibration as it was dialed in but nothing radical or uncomfortable.

Nothing to do with HD No. I was looking through the posts in this forum under the Hammer section and saw a couple about vibration.

In one post the guy had put a belt around his rear jug to keep the vibrations down or something. Sounded pretty nasty.

I know the harleys have it bad and strangely it was designed that way. Whatever floats your boat eh.

Pretty sure the guy that posted on the belt thing is a self confessed troll. The 100"/6 operates about as flawlessly as they come

in columbus ga, thay have a hammer s ? i think its a s brand new 2007 out of the crate,for $11,500.00 no miles i think it has 5 year waranty.LOOKS FINE!!

I am hoping to get one around 7 or 7.5K though. I need to ship it to WA and then pay taxes to import it into Canada. It all adds up fast. That's why im looking at an older model.

Of course zero miles and a 5 year warranty would really be nice. hmm..

I am looking at doing the same thing, Polaris will not honor the warranty once you cross the border.:mad: I was told you have to bring it back to the US to get any warranty done.:crzy: You also have to get a letter from Polaris stating it is clear of any recalls which costs $55:mad

Why is it easier to mod the 05-07 as to the 08? Just curious,is it because of the injection system? I am in the process of purchasing an 08 Hammer.

08's and up are closed loop systems as opposed to the open loops on the older models.
