I just purchased an 08 jackpot that has "victory performance exhaust". Can anyone tell me exactly what this is, or send me to a link? Also I see there are caps on the end that I assume hold in the baffles. I would like to take these out and see if it sounds any better. Does any one have any tips on how to get them off? I couldn't even get the caps off.
Thanks

Which exhaust do you have? Here's a link to the Polaris website:

If you have drag style exhaust, the tapered cap on the end is just for looks. The baffle is actually held in by a safety torx head bolt. A set of those bits will set you back $30 or more, depending on the brand. Make sure you use the right size bit, otherwise you will be up a certain creek without a paddle. To make sure you have the right size, pick the one you think fits the best, and then try the next larger size to make sure it doesn't fit.
That being said, it really isn't worth the work to pull the baffles. Vic's sound really annoying with straight pipes. You'll also lose some low end torque, and your fuel map won't be as effective since you lost the backpressure the baffles give the exhaust valves, and that will affect the rideablity of the bike.

You can take baffels out and grind the welds off the Honeycombs and take them off then put the baffels back in that will make them plenty loud when on the gas. The torque screws can be taken out with vise grips be carefull. Just break them loose then screw them out replace with button head allen screws. The caps do just come off bump them with a soft rubber hammer now be easy.

08 is noncatalyst, and has no honeycomb
