Has anyone lowered the kingpin? The links look easy to install. Does it change the ride?

I actually own a 2006 that was lowered when I bought it. I am a big guy (6'5 255) and the difference I noticed before I changed it back to factory original is I sometimes bottomed out going over bumps or around corners. This was even more apparent with my wife on the bike. I ended up going back to factory original.

A couple of thingsyou need to do when lowering your bike. Move the rear wiring harness to the side as it runs down the middle of the fender and can rip out when you bottom out. Also you need to set the preload on the shock.
