I have a 2010 Vision. I have heard that Victory has now made a new (3rd) IPOD cable for the Visions. Does anyone know the part number for it and will it now allow the bike to charge the 3Gs Iphone. My local dealership has changed hands and the new owners are clueless.

There are two IPOD cables available for the vision. The later generation IPODS need the more expensive cable. This allows you to scroll thru your play list and it does charge the IPOD or 3G phone. I think it is about $79.00. The other one was only $29.00 and it will only link to the input of the stereo.

I too am interested in more information on this. I have a 2nd generation iPod touch that I am curious if the new cable will also charge the battery or not.

According to everything I have read... Your 2nd gen IPOD touch should charge with newest cable ($79). Your dealership should install the cable for you in order to get the proper connections for this application.

I have the new cable on order. Has anyone installed the cable themself? What bodywork removal do I need to do?? Thanks.

I got the cable. VERY easy installation. I just pulled on the cable for the 3.5mm standard audio cable in the glove box to remove the rubber plug. I unplugged the old cable from the snap connector and pulled the additional connector through the hole of the glovebox to install the 2 wired new iPod cable. Reverse the removal instructions and enjoy. WELL worth the money!! It's nice being able to scroll through songs, have a display of my songs on the console, AND keep my iPod touch charged at the same time.

Sounds like a scam. I was told that the $20 cable did everything. Now, they are saying I should pay $79 for the real thing.

The other (cheaper) cable does not fit the 2010 wiring harness.

It seems that the original (cheaper) cable was made for the Nano. Apple changed the pin outs for the ipod touch and iPhone and therefore needed the new cable to charge the device. I have used the cheap one with an iPod Touch and it worked fine BUT it will not charge. I like charging my iPhone while I listen to it on a long ride.

Ive heard about the cable change - however, the new cable works for my first generation ipod touch and it charges it.

In my iPod compartment on the Vision, I have a cigarette lighter adapter. I found an adapter at Ace that plugs into that. It has AC outlets and USB outlets. I can charge the iPod with that using a USB cable.

I'm a cheap bastard but being able to change my songs and playlists through the stereo controls while charging my phone at the same time is worth the cost for the more expensive cable. The mute button even pauses the song for you. I highly recommend it!!!

I took delivery of an 08 Vision yesterday and ended up with the MP3 cable (only sound... no iPod Control and no charging) because the technician swore that it would not interface with the 08 audio system.

The parts catalog identifies 3 audio cables (MP3, iPod 08-09, and iPod 10-11 which has two connectors)

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm in the same boat bought my 2011 and was wondering will it interface with the Iphone?
