I have a question about the seat on my 2009 Ness Vision.
Is the seat supposed to be leather. And has anyone found that thier seat is in fact not leather, on the 2009 Ness Vision??
Thanks

I have an 09 Ness Vision, it has a leather seat. I have had it re-worked by Rich's Custom Saddles in WA. He set me back two inches and up two inches. Ride all day without a worry.

I do be leave all stock motorcycle seats are "not" leather.
There vinyl. Leather will soak up water like a sponge. Think of your leather jacket and how wet it gets in the rain. Vinyl repels water. When you was your bike look the water doesn't soak up it runs off.

I know for a FACT that the Ness Gunfighter seat for my 06 JP was leather. I just had it reskined with vinyl as the leather faded and cracked bad!! I would imagine that the Ness bikes would have leather.

Say if you get that sweaty ass in the hot months use baby powered on you ass you chest your legs and your you know what.
I caught:) my girlfriend powering her self up one day before a ride and asked what she said thats how mothers keep the babies dry. It was fun powering each other up.

LMAO!!! I learned that trick in basic training, believe it or not. I went through basic at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in the summer, 30 years ago.
DI's recommended shaving and using baby powder to keep cool.

Good point Vision Johnny. I am fortunate to have so much stitching on my saddle that the air flow makes it comfortable on the hottest days. I have experienced leather and faux leather saddles. Leather does absorb water, particularly if it is not treated seasonally with cleaner and waterproofing compounds. But, by that very nature, it allows moisture to escape. It does take some upkeep to keep it new looking alright. The upside is, you are riding on the "real" thing that breathes for cooling and it does dry out overnight for the most part. Ever get water sneak past welting and stitching of a faux leather saddle, you will find it permanently wet and mouldy because the fabric does not naturally breathe and it holds the water in. Each has it's pros and cons I guess.
