Hello everyone

I just bought a leftover 08 Kingpin 8-ball. After long rides (1 hr or more) I noticed after I shut the bike down that there is gas dripping out of the drain tube under the bike. The dealer filled the bike and trailered it to my house. I have put about 75 miles on the bike. So Im thinking I have used close to 2 gallons of fuel. But I'm still venting gas at the end of my rides. If anyone can help me with this problem I would appreciate any info. Also when should I stop filling the tank on my first fill up!

If gas is leaking the tank was over filled. If it just smells like gas then that happens.

I over-filled the tank on my '07 8-Ball once and dealt with the gas draining through the overflow but, I do occasionally smell gasoline after a ride, or after making a left-turn and that seems to be a normal occurrence without any fuel draining.

As for where to stop filling, I usually stop just at the bottom of the tank opening so the latch isn't getting into the fuel when I close the lid. Make sense? Since I started using this method I have never over-filled the tank and the occasional gas smell occurrences have become more rare.
