: KP vs Vegas gearing?

Is the gearing and sprocket size the same on these two bikes?

Do they perform relatively the same with the 100/ 6 speed?

If the sprokets are different, would the Kingpin's holeshot benefit from the Vegas rear sproket?

I am a complete newb to this board and shopping for my first street bike. I have really taken to the KP.

Thanks,

Gearing is the same. There is a company that sells an underdrive front pully for those that want extra grunt without engine work

Follow - up question(s)?

I'm a car guy, so in numbers that I understand, would this performance sproket be equivalent to going from 308 gears to a 323rear or more like a 308 to a 373?

And, which bike would be quicker? A KP 8 -Ball with the 5 speed or a KP with a six speed? Is there a difference or is the six speed purely the same ratio with the addition of an overdrive?

Closer to 373 then 323 gearing.

5-6 speed both share the same gearing

Thanks. Doing my homework ahead of time. I love the KP, but I like some others out there too for different reasons. I like the Valkries. They are pretty unique. Starliners, some Harleys, M109 ( just rode one....holy crap....TORQUE) . I think the KP would best suit my needs and be really comfortable.

Thanks again.
