I am a forum newbie and just purchased a Hammer 8-Ball (1700 miles). I have not noticed any Hammer 8-Ball threads, so decided to start one. The Hammer 8-Ball is black only, round tradtitional headlight, 5 speed, 100 inch, very stock. For me, the 8-Ball is perfect - low key, basic, but also a Hammer, and we all know what that means. I like trick paint and stuff, but on other people's bikes, not mine. I would be interested to know why other riders have chosen this bike. In my case, it was because of a great dealership, Victory Indian Motorcycle in Hancock, Maine. I visited them when I was just dreaming and they treated me like family. Three years later, I went back and they were the same, only this time, I could do the bike. Anyway, comments on the Victory Hammer 8-Ball welcome here.

Careful with the tool roll. I've seen a LOT of cases where they scared and dented the front fender/paint from fork compression.

thanks for the heads up. I will be careful. I was warned not to put too much weight in it. I used black zip ties to hold it up rather than the leather straps it came with. This makes a tighter arrangement that doesn't stretch much. A certain amount of chafe is probably inevitable, and I will monitor that.

I put my tool roll behind my front wheel, in front of the starter

thanks for the link. Nice job on the roll. No problems with oil cooler I assume...
