Hello all, lately I have been really wanted to move up to a Victory Kingpinthumb up. Right now I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit, I love the bike but am looking for something bigger that dosent say HD on the tank:D The Kingpin has really caught my eye.
The main question I have is the model year difference, snooping around the forum it seems I want a 2007 model year? I'm not sure. I know, or at least think I know that's the last year for the non closed loop system:confused: and also has a 6 speed and the 100? Guess my main question is what years should I be looking at or does it really matter that much? Also what is a good price point for the different model years?

I think I want the 2007 KP tour, but am open to suggestions, tour model is not a must can always add components.thumb up

Thanks and look forward to getting on the KPthumb up

I bought a leftover 2009 Kingpin Premium for $14500 in April. I love it!It's smooth, comfortable for short or long rides and it has plenty of power foe two up riding. I've put 3500 miles on with my wife on the back for about half of that. I'd recomend it.

I just bought an '07 KP Tour a few weeks ago. I love the power and the way it rides. Honestly, the bags are OK, but I'm not a big fan of the Victory factory bags. If I would have had the extra cash, I would have bought a KP and added aftermarket bags and trunk.

I'm hearing different opinions on motors.

Which is better (mod friendly) the 92 or the 100 (closed loop) 100( non closed loop) or the 106

Or really, does it matter?? I mean its still a Victory--:)

Guess Im really just asking what years to look for

I bought a brand new 09' with a 5 speed and 100 ci motor. Only thing i woulda done different is to get a 6 speed for the long hauls. Mine is a kingpin 8ball that i will customize as money allows. It seems to me that even the 100ci motor can be customized without too much hassle. But i dont intend to go into the motor of my bike. It has lots of power already!

either 06 or 07 will give you the 100 ci with the 6 speed in KP or KP tour, and 5 speeds with the KP 8ball. I went for the 6 speed and love it. Can't complain about the 100 ci motor. Plenty of power and torque, and responds to mods nicely. I'm still in the process of modding mine to my liking, which is all part of the fun.
