I want to put the 2 into 1 pipe that is fit for the '08 and '09 on my '07. (part no 95-8830V-50) Does anyone know what mods would have to be made to make this happen? I see there is an '07 on ebay with this pipe on it, yet some have told me it doesn't fit......

I think your part number is wrong - should be either:

2877254-156
2877253-156
2877252-156
-----OR-----
2877251-156 thumb up

I stand corrected, was going by what the fitment guide said at Surdyke - thx kevinx for setting the record straight.

I like them as well, but won't fit on anything except 08'-10' Hammers

The pipe itself will bolt right on a 05-07 Hammer, or JP. The Map, filter, and vented cover will not though. If you like the pipe you can run it with a Hammer drag pipe map. 05 Version for the not cat 49 state pipe, and 06 version for the 50 state pipe

Would it perform as well as rpw or bassanni say if I went to an S&S intake with power commander? I just have the stage 1 now. A dealer told me also the 50 state pipe would not perform as well and said they are all about the same noise level.... What do you think.....

just found out it is a 2877254-156. Does that tell us if it is a 49 or 50 state version?

kevinx, how would you rate the vic pipes mentioned here against the RPW Thor 2 into 1's? I also have been considering changing pipes as well.

About RPW's:

NOTES: Please note:RPW USA recommends for optimal performance with all their exhaust, an Adjustable Fuel Controller, Downloads that others have used, may be stated on the directions, however, true performance will be realized with an adjustable fuel controller.

Do you have any insight to these pipes perhaps?

OH, and sorry if I seem to be hijacking this thread, just kinda hits on the same subject.

First off....If you remove the cat from the Vic pipe...It is 49 state*LOL*

Next, From what I have seen the Vic pipes performs on par with all the other 2-1. In fact it makes better bottom end then the RPW unless you mod the RPW

Maps work fine with the open loop bikes. with no loss of performance, but the closed loop bikes require a controler to get enough fuel across the top with the RPW of Bassani

Without a doubt; the best sounding is the RPW

Pardon my ignorance, but would a 06' Hammer have a open or closed loop system? I'd surely want to do things right - the first time :D

Also, does the RPW Thor pipe have the cat in it and presumably need removing? it makes better bottom end then the RPW unless you mod the RPW Thanks for your feedback! cheers

Closed loop started in 08; so your 06 is open loop

No stinking Cats in ANY RPW stuff.

The mod I refer to is adding a cone of hard wire mesh to the inlet side of the muffler. On my own C bike it made 9 extra FtLb below 3250 with no loss oh HP on the top

a cone of hard wire mesh

Is this something that can be purchased (where from) or does it need to be fabbed?

It's hard to find a sound bite of a thor pipe, though I know you can't put a lot of weight into a sound bite... still, it would be nice to hear one. Anyone know where a guy could hear one on a Victory?

Kevin didn't Ness or SRVT make those cones for a while??

Is this it? It's a SRVT product

It said it's for 2" diameter pipes....

That is not big enough for the inlet, but pretty much what I am talking about

The victory 2 into 1 is way overpriced IMO. I am thinking of going with the bassani myself due to it's a couple hundred cheaper and a proven preformer. Aren't the RPW pipes stainless?

Just bought a 2 into 1 50 state pipe. How difficult is it to remove the cat from it?

kevinx, It seems RPW has a finish issue? So now I'm looking at the Vic 2into1 pipes. I can get the 50 state legal cheaper than the 49 state - is it a b**ch to get the cat out of the 50 state legal one without damaging it?

49 state is $719 + shipping

50 state is $699 with free shipping (this would save probably 40-50 bux)

Thanks!

Well I just installed an '08 50 state 2 into 1 victory pipe on my '07 Hammer. I had the stage 1 already.... bought plugs for the '02 sensors. Is the cat in the pipe going to cause me any grief? (Might have to shoot it) bad joke.Took it for a quick run and seems to run fine...... a lot quieter than the Basanni. Any thoughts on the cat converter would be appreciated..........

I have not popped the cat in a 2-1 but it can't be that hard

Ordered the Vic *49* state legal 2 into 1 my local dealer matched the price I found online, so I paid a little tax vs. $85.00 for shipping, saved about $30.00.
