I have an 06 vegas with the swept pipes. While I was under it the other night, I noticed there is some sort of coned baffles inside the pipes that have a bunch of holes in them. are these mufflers? Will it sound better with these removed? or can I remove them? Thanks guys?

Baffles. You said it. Will it sound better with them removed? I say no. Some agree with me, some do not. Also depending on where you live there may be laws restricting whether or not you're allowed to run pipes without baffles.

Take them out and you will loose some HP and TQ on the bottom end they aren't baffles as much as they are Torque Cones. Vic engines rune better with some back pressure.
