Has anybody put spot lights on? I've seen some of you guys with those KewlMetal dual light brackets with the LED turn signal and a LED spot light below it. I've got a 35W Halogen set that I want to mount up but I'm not sure about the wiring. I could run a new line from the battery out to the lights, but I was hoping there was enough current support on the low beam line to just tap in there. That way the spot lights stay on with the low beams and I don't have to remember to turn them on or off.
Any suggestions?

I would not use your low-beam wire to actually power the lights, but I would use it instead as a "trigger" that energizes a relay that, in turn, completes a circuit to the lights. That second circuit can be fed directly off the battery or off the circuit breaker (if your bike is so equipped). Also make sure that second circuit has it's own fuse protection as close to the battery / circuit breaker as possible.

Good idea, thanks. Easy to do. Guess I'd just hide the relay in the can, stick in a 20A mini-blade fuse holder/fuse under the seat by the battery, run the lines up with the rest under the fuel tank and call it a day.
