: New Drag Bars - too much play!! - HELP

What's up y'all. I recently swapped out my factory bars with some custom sized CP Drag bars.

The install used a hex bolt that came up from the bottom of the housing (where the stock risers were attached on the bottom). The bars did not come with any special hardware or bushings, just two hex bolts to screw from the bottom up into the bars.

Here's my problem - Despite serious torquing, the bars have too much play forward and backward. All that's keeping them down and tight is a hex bolt with washers on top and bottom (lock washer on bottom).

I need to have something inside the housing where the bolts come up to keep them more steady, but what?? Rubber bushings? I'm also concerned about vibration with this issue.

Help me out boys. Thanks a mil.

Yep. You need riser bushings. Not sure if the Victory bushings are different from the HD ones but a Victory dealer might be about to help.

They will look something like these (http://www.bigcountrypowersports.com/dlrindexsend_pg_catprod_levelcode_16826_catalogcod e_6344_partheadernumber_1016797-ALLOY+ART+GOODEN+TIGHT153+RISER+BUSHING+KITS.htm).

Thanks, Bbob.

I got in touch with my local Vic dealer, they couldn't help and there are a million riser bushing setups on-line.

My issue is the space between the stock isolator and my new bolts in the tree...Has no one had this issue? What are you guys using out there? I guess I should mention that my bars are CP, Cruiser Performance. No luck in getting in touch with them so far.

Any further advice would be hugely helpful, I've seen a lot custom bars in here.

Thanks boys.

Got in touch with Phat who contacted CP. They're sending some machined sleeves for between the hex bolts and the stock bushings.

Case closed...Knock on wood.

Thx.
