Hello everyone. I've been looking at bikes for a few weeks now and found one I really like its a 2005 Ness Signature Kingpin. Its got 8500 miles on it and runs great. Their asking $6700 for it, is this a fair price? Is there anything I should be looking for if I go for the purchase of this bike? Its at a dealer and I can get a 2 year / 20,000 warranty with it for $399 extra which cover the engine / drive train does this seem like a good idea? Heres a pic of the bike.
Thanks for any info you guys can help with!
Keith

First off I don't know what that is? Its got a Kingpin looking rear fender, a Vegas front fender and Vegas wheels. The frame swingarm and engine look like an 8ball. Also the Kingpin has inverted front forks.
I'm thinking it is a Vegas with a KP rear fender. Kingpins didn't come with wire wheels but the Vegas did.
That is not no way, no how a Ness either.
I would run fast from that idiot, lieing, BS dealer. Wouldn't touch that bike with a 10 foot pole.
If the dealer is lieing about the model bike no telling whats wrong with it.
This is an 05 Ness Signature Vegas. Notice all the chrome and the paint!

I feel sorry for the guy that bought that bike. That bike is not what was described.
Is this a Victory dealer?
I think you should report them to the BBB!

No it wasnt a Victory dealer, but the mechanic that built it used to work for a victory dealer and thats apparently where he got all the parts to build it.
Funny thing is I did really like the look of the bike.

That definitely was a Frankenstein vic!
Go try a Kingpin at a Vic dealer.
If you like it, look around for a used one. Although they are not the most common bike, you can find them. They are well worth finding!
My first experience with a Kingpin was riding a Ness Kingpin, the purple 05 model, and I instantly loved the bike. From there, I found my bike on ebay, got a good deal on it, and haven't looked back since.
It can be done!
Good luck, and welcome to the best Victory forum in the land.

diamondrmp is right on the money with the 05 Ness Kingpin. It only came in the 2 tone color of black and purple (purple haze)
I know this because I bought one! lol Lots of Ness chrome on it, but the previous owner did change out the chrome exhaust to black upswept RPW's. My bike had 7100 miles on it , and with tax, licence etc. I paid $9000.00 Ive only owned it for 6 months and put just a couple of hundred miles on it.
