I have a 99 v92c that the previous owner put stage 1 intake and exhaust on, but did not get it chipped or buy a power commander. Will a chip for an 01 work in my 99? There is one of ebay I am watching, but it says 01-02.....?

01 chip will work. No such beast as an 02 chip

Ok,thanks. I'm still learning the particulars of this bike, All my others are (and were) common sportbikes. This thing is not easy to find accessories (preferably used) for. I assume its because of its age and shorter production life span.

I know of two different Stage 1 chips Victory put out; for '99, p/n 4010252 - '00 (& probably '01), p/n 4010350.

This may be apocryphal, but I've read that the aftermarket WV chip is a clone of the 4010252 chip on a faster ROM.

The PMRT aftermarket chip is well thought of, as well - I'm running one myself.

Don't know if Kevin still endorses them but the Psychomotive Chip that Dave burned for my 01 has performed well. Cams, D&D Longshots, Ness Breather, and his chip have been a good setup.

Interesting..., I bid on the one on ebay. Its actually for slashcut slipons (which I have, but these are much prettier) and the chip. I will see what happens if/when I get them. The aucution ends in 5 days...
