Wow I guess I don't know how to use this forum very well. I just now noticed your message. To be honest I don't remember having any side wind problems with the stock windshield. I didn't put too many miles on the bike with the stock shield, but I now have the cee baileys 15" shield. It has more area, so although I have not noticed it I would think that side winds would affect it more that the stock one.
u seem to be getting the wind over u windshield, I actually get blown side to side and sometimes ino the next lane. The other guys that i ride with BMW, Honda And Suzuki said they didn't get any side by side tuberlance. Does the cee b shield prevent air traveling back towartds the crossroadws saddlebags
