Well, I'm biased, but I really love the Hammer I have, pretty sweet in the corners for a cruiser, and I enjoy the "muscle cruiser" look and feel - I'd buy a Hammer again in a heartbeat, it's super fun to ride!
I have a lot of chrome upgrades on mine, including Ness custom mirrors and Ness sweep, slash pipes.
She roars, quite literally.
At any rate, there is my "two cents."
Whichever one you get, though, I know you will enjoy riding it - the Vics are great bikes!
This may be more of a question of style. The other MAJOR difference is the transmission and then the warranty issues. A used '09 my be out of warranty tomorrow whereas the '11 would have AT LEAST 2 years from today, right? If the '09 you are considering is a new, old stock unit then the warranty issue pretty much cancel out
